WIth newfoundland caribou hunts, Caribou Valley is the calving ground in the spring for the Woodland Caribou and the breeding ground in the fall which tends to mean great success each year. This - combined with the restriction of local hunters and other outfitters - results in near 100% success rates each year and the quality of the game is second to none.
Newfoundland boasts the southern most herd of Woodland Caribou estimated at over 60,000 animals.
Those animals share the same habitat as moose giving the combination moose/caribou hunt its popularity. The rut coincides with the moose rut and is pretty much over by mid October. Many record book animals are taken here as the Boone and Crocket record attest.
This unique trophy animal can only be hunted and harvested in Newfoundland, Canada so if a trophy Woodland caribou is on your to do list, we have the hunt for you!
